Organisers of The Long Weekend

Five Anglican parishes in Melbourne are working together to organise The Long Weekend. Each has some experience in ministry to children, teens and families, in ways that are complementary but different to existing networks and strategies in the Diocese of Melbourne.

The organisers have two broad aims:

• To bring together young people and families from congregations without the resources to organise substantial events on their own;

• To offer resources and ideas for working with children, youth and families for people in parishes not currently served by existing ministries in the Melbourne Diocese.

The working together to organise The Long Weekend are:
